Description

I present the globular cluster M13, probably the best in terms of (my) post processing so far. After a cloudy May 2021, I got 2 nights relatively suitable for astrophotography, this long-awaited night has come.

Unfortunately, white nights are here for good (in Poland), so there are practically no conditions and time. In addition, the hated moisture struck once again: 95% of the humidity made the stars literally swim ... Plus over 80% of the Moon didn't make it easier. But photos must be taken!

I start the session, there are about 2 hours left until the end of the "party" because of the dawn. I'm going to sleep. In the morning everything is dripping with water, the tube, mount, cables, dew shield... I put my rig in the garage, take darks and start the stationary part. I have almost 50 photos!

I start browsing, I drop about 20 (guiding, in this moisture, took time to stabilize). I start to process, I process, I process. 3h later nail it. I can't get more out of this. I did not expect to be able to get so much out of only 36 minutes.

Can you notice this little galaxy at 6 o'clock (just below M13). It is 536 million light years away from us! Insane!
